What We Believe
About First Armenian Presbyterian Church
First Armenian Presbyterian Church (FAPC) is an evangelical Christian Armenian Presbyterian congregation dedicated to cultivating a community of disciple-makers. Our mission is to share the reconciling love of Christ with Armenians, their families, and their neighbors. As a vibrant community of authentic disciples, we live out our faith by serving, talking, eating, and praying together, fostering meaningful relationships both within and beyond our church.
FAPC’s vision is to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, framed within all of their life’s relationships. We emphasize the journey of discipleship through the “Four Chairs of Disciple-Making”: Seeker, Believer, Disciple, and Disciple-Maker. Through these stages, we encourage individuals to move from exploring faith to becoming disciple-makers who share Christ’s love with others.
Our belief system is rooted in core Christian teachings, such as the Apostle’s Creed, the importance of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the foundational truths about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. We are part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) denomination, a global movement committed to evangelism, biblical leadership, and carrying out the Great Commission.
At FAPC, we offer a wide range of ministries for every age and stage of life, from children’s Sunday School to adult discipleship groups, family fellowships, worship music ministries, and mission outreach programs. Whether through serving in church leadership, participating in community involvement, or deepening our spiritual growth, we are committed to glorifying God and embodying Christ’s love in all we do.
